Or is my math just totally wrong? Using the rumor that the 188 shipping containers that Apple took possession of contained 3g iPhones (
Source: Fortune) and this
data about sizes of shipping containers and the original iPhone
packaging size, I was able to crank out this calculation:
Size of shipping container/(2x size of original iphone packaging)=some random estimate about the number of 3g iphones.
I used 2x the size of the original iphone packaging because I wanted to account for a bigger package and the lost space in shipping inefficiencies (you can't pack the mathematical max into a shipping container). This hopefully gives me a
conservative estimate. What does the math add up to? A whopping
3.1 million 3G iPhones.
That sounds excessive to me. Any thoughts?

Apple is either the king of building buzz or people in NYC are stupid. They are lining up at the Apple store when: the new iPhone hasn't been officially announce, the rumored
announcement date is June 9th, and there's no guarantee that the announcement means availability. My theory is that Apple is paying people to do this type of stuff... Then again, people are just crazy. (

So true. I think a similar thing can be drawn for corporate meetings. Brown nosers sit close to the boss and the marketing person who spews random phrases without knowing what them mean sits at the far end so no one can see how full of crap he/she is. "We used synergistic business design paradigms to maximize our shareholder ROI with respect to income trust taxation." God I hate those guys. The emperor has no cloths. (

The free daily
tabloids newspapers rags in London seem to have some sort of circulation war that has escalated to paying guys to stand on the corner of every tube station and physically hand
free papers to people. You can see two of them on the left of this picture.

This is what I want! I would snap this up in a second if it were available in Canada. I don't care about "blockbuster new releases" very much; I just want to sit down and click a few buttons and start watching something interesting I haven't seen before. I
Don't want to make a purchase decision every time I use my TV.
