A great talk by John Mittnerer that was shown on Big Ideas. It certainly explains a lot of the foundation ideas that Rotman's Integrative Thinking is based on.

Predictably, there will be many iTunes users who don't see the point of transitioning to a different player, but what this represents more than just another media player is the first effective cross-platform Digital Rights Management (DRM) video platform alternative. As much as end users dislike DRM, the lack of an additional cross-platform video DRM has hindered some features on Mac.
— RE: The new Adobe Video Player. All I have to say is DRM fail again. What about if I've been buying iTMS music and video? Now I have my "consolidated digital content library" in two places? What about playing this Adobe provided content on my iPod or BlackBerry. Just give up the DRM and try to build a viable business model. DRM doesn't stop piracy and hurts your ability to meet the needs of your customers, may content providers have figured that out, I'm not sure why a bunch are still clinging to it.
